How to Resolve Facebook Page Messaging Restrictions

How to Fix “You Are Temporarily Restricted from Sending Messages” on Facebook

If you see the message “You are temporarily restricted from sending messages” while sending messages from your Facebook Page, your Page may have an active restriction.

In many cases, you can review the restriction directly from your Facebook Page settings. Follow the steps below to check the issue and request a review.

Step 1: Open the Facebook App

Open the Facebook app on your mobile device and make sure you are logged in to the Facebook account that manages your Page.

Step 2: Switch to Your Facebook Page

1. Tap the Menu icon in the top-left corner.
2. The Facebook sidebar will open.
3. Find and select your Facebook Page.
4. Switch to your Page profile.

Make sure you are using Facebook as your Page, not your personal Facebook profile.

Step 3: Open Page Settings

Once you have switched to your Facebook Page:

1. Open the Menu/sidebar again.
2. Scroll down to the bottom.
3. Tap Settings & privacy.
4. Tap Settings.

This will open the settings for your Facebook Page.

Step 4: Open Page Setup

Inside Page Settings:

1. Find Audience and visibility.
2. Tap Page setup.

Depending on your Facebook app version, the location or name of some options may be slightly different.

Step 5: Check Page Status

Inside Page setup:

1. Scroll down.
2. Find Page status.
3. Open Page status.

Here, Facebook may show an issue or restriction affecting your Page.

Step 6: Review the Restriction

If you see a restriction related to messaging:

1. Tap the restriction or issue shown on the Page Status screen.
2. Review the information provided by Facebook.
3. If Facebook provides a Review or Request Review option, select it.
4. Follow the instructions provided by Facebook to complete the review.

After the review is completed, Facebook may remove the restriction if the Page is eligible.

Important

The restriction is controlled by Facebook/Meta, not by ReplyRush. ReplyRush cannot manually remove a Facebook Page restriction.

If Facebook shows a Review, Request Review, or similar option, make sure you complete that process.

Facebook may change the names or locations of settings in different versions of the Facebook app. If you cannot find an option exactly as described above, look for Page Status, Page Quality, or Restrictions within your Page settings.

Still Having the Issue?

If your Facebook Page shows no active restriction but ReplyRush is still unable to send messages, contact ReplyRush Support and provide:

• Your Facebook Page name
• A screenshot of the error
• A screenshot of Page Status
• The approximate time when the issue started

This information will help us determine whether the issue is related to the Facebook Page restriction or the Meta messaging API.
