Instagram Business API Error: Your Account Is Ineligible for Using Instagram APIs (Fix Guide)

Instagram Business API Error: “Your Instagram Account is Ineligible for Using Instagram APIs”

If you’re seeing the error “Your Instagram account is ineligible for using Instagram APIs” while connecting your Instagram account to ReplyRush, here’s what it means and how you can resolve it.

Why This Error Happens

Instagram has tightened rules around API access eligibility. If your account has been flagged for violating Instagram’s Community Guidelines—even once—it may lose access to Instagram’s Business APIs.

To check if this applies to your account:

  1. Open Instagram Settings → Account Status.

  2. Look for posts, reels, or stories that have been flagged, restricted, or removed.

  3. If violations are listed, they are the reason for the restriction.

⚠️ Note: Some online guides claim that reconnecting your Facebook Page or switching account types can fix this. These do not work. The restriction is applied at the account level and enforced directly by Instagram.

What You Can Do

Appeal Restricted Content

  • If you believe Instagram flagged your content incorrectly, use the Appeal option in the Account Status section. While not guaranteed, appeals sometimes succeed.

Understand & Avoid Violations

  • Review the flagged content and identify what triggered the restriction (e.g., sensitive visuals, misleading captions, excessive automation, or spammy behavior).

  • Avoid similar content in the future, as repeated violations can lead to stricter penalties or permanent account restrictions.

Contact Instagram Support

  • Go to Settings → Help → Report a Problem in the Instagram app.

  • Or visit the Instagram Help Center to raise a ticket.

Why ReplyRush Cannot Override This

Restrictions like these are applied directly by Instagram at the API level. All third-party tools, including ReplyRush, must comply with these rules. We do not have the ability to bypass or remove Instagram’s eligibility restrictions.

Final Note

We understand this can be frustrating, but it’s entirely controlled by Instagram’s policies. Our team will keep this article updated as Instagram evolves its rules.
