How to Change Your Login Method from Instagram to Facebook

If you are already connected to ReplyRush using Instagram Login and are experiencing errors while sending Auto DMs, your account may be connected through Instagram Login only.

Due to recent issues with the Instagram Business API, Auto DM may be more stable when connected through Facebook Login. For this reason, we highly recommend switching your login method from Instagram to Facebook without deleting your ReplyRush account.

Steps to Change Your Login Type

Step 1: Detach Your Instagram Account

  1. Open Connected Accounts from the ReplyRush sidebar.

  2. Select your Instagram account.

  3. Click Detach to disconnect the account.

Step 2: Remove the Instagram Account Connection

  1. After successfully detaching the account, you will see a Remove option.

  2. Click Remove to delete the Instagram account connection from ReplyRush.

Step 3: Reconnect Using Facebook Login

Follow the instructions below based on how many Instagram accounts you have connected.

If You Have Only One Instagram Account

  1. After removing the account connection, you will see two login options on your dashboard:

    • Login with Instagram

    • Login with Facebook

  2. Select Login with Facebook and follow the on-screen instructions to reconnect your Instagram account through Facebook.

If You Have Multiple Instagram Accounts

  1. Go to Connected Accounts.

  2. Click Add New IG Account.

  3. Select Login with Facebook and complete the connection process.

Why Facebook Login Is Recommended

  • More stable Auto DM experience: Facebook Login may help avoid issues associated with direct Instagram Login.

  • Instagram Business API limitations: Direct Instagram Login can encounter API bugs and limitations that affect automation.

  • Better compatibility: Connecting through Facebook may improve compatibility with ReplyRush features.

Recommendation: We recommend using Facebook Login for Instagram Auto DMs to help minimize connection-related API issues and maintain smoother automation. However, switching login methods cannot resolve every Meta-side restriction or API issue.
