Understanding Trigger Types in ReplyRush

ReplyRush offers various trigger types for Post, Reel, and Story Auto-Reply features. These triggers allow you to automate direct messages (DMs) to users who interact with your Instagram content.
This guide explains each trigger type, its features, and when to use it — including ReplyRush’s unique AI Trigger option.

Trigger Types

1. All Comments

This trigger sends your composed DM to every user who comments on the linked post, reel, or story — regardless of the content of their comment.

When to Use:
Use the All Comments trigger when you want maximum reach and want to engage every person who leaves a comment.

2. Specific Keywords

This trigger sends the composed DM only to users whose comments contain specific keywords that you set.

When to Use:
Ideal for campaigns, promotions, or contests where you require users to comment with a certain word or phrase to participate.

Example: If you set the keyword “YES,” only comments containing “YES” will receive the DM.

3. AI Trigger 🆕

This is an exclusive ReplyRush feature designed to make keyword automation faster and smarter.
When you enable AI Trigger, ReplyRush will:

  • Automatically scan your Instagram post/reel description and detect potential trigger keywords.

  • Set those keywords as triggers without you having to manually add them.

  • Keep your triggers updated — if you edit the description on Instagram after linking the post, the AI Trigger will automatically adjust the keyword list.

When to Use:
Perfect for creators and businesses who want to save time and avoid logging into ReplyRush every time they edit their Instagram caption. Your automation will keep running even if your post description changes.

4. Share to DM

This trigger sends a DM when a user shares your post or reel directly to your Instagram inbox (instead of commenting).
You can prompt users in your caption with a call-to-action like:

“Share this reel to my inbox to get the full guide!”

When to Use:
Great for boosting shares, driving more private engagement, and reaching users who prefer to interact via DM instead of public comments.

Additional Trigger Settings

Send Once Per User / Per Post

When enabled, this ensures the composed DM is sent only once per user for each linked post/reel/story.
This prevents sending duplicate DMs if someone comments multiple times.

Exclude Keywords

Allows you to define words that will prevent the DM from being sent if they appear in a comment.
Useful for filtering out irrelevant or spam comments.
